Bangladesh

Project Profile2 for Website-6.jpg
  • A small country with over 176 million (2025) people, Bangladesh is one of the poorest and most densely populated countries in the world

  • 30% of the population live on under $3.65 per day

  • Severe Environmental Issues: drought seasons, cyclones, flooding and famine, water borne disease, deforestation and soil degradation

  • Water issues: Many people live in flood-prone areas. Waterborne diseases persist. Groundwater arsenic contamination and intermittent shortages affect large regions

  • Air pollution: One of the worst levels globally—linked to ~236,000 deaths in 2020 (about 20% of all premature deaths)

Supported orphanages and schools

The FKSI supported and accredited schools in Bangladesh educate more than 4,000 students from Kindergarten through College.

Dormitory facilities provide daily room and board for over 550 boys and girls.
