Superhero 5K
The For Kids' Sake International Superhero 5K in Carbondale, IL is our largest annual fundraiser. Superheroes save lives, which is exactly what you do when you participate in this race. All proceeds benefit orphans and students in Bangladesh, The Gambia and Southern Illinois. Participants become true Superheroes, by fundraising for the kids.

SUPERHERO 5K 2025!
Thank you to everyone, near and far, who ran, walked, cheered others on, volunteered, and donated. Superheroes streamed through Turley Park in Carbondale on Saturday, September 12, for the 13th Annual For Kids’ Sake International Superhero 5K. This annual fundraiser brings people together from all over Southern Illinois for a healthy, fun, family-friendly event. 277 registrants signed up to complete the race either virtually or in-person this year.
