Superhero 5K
The For Kids' Sake International Superhero 5K in Carbondale, IL is our largest annual fundraiser. Superheroes save lives, which is exactly what you do when you participate in this race. All proceeds benefit orphans and students in Bangladesh, The Gambia and Southern Illinois. Participants become true Superheroes, by fundraising for the kids.

SUPERHERO 5K 2025!
After a three-year hiatus, the For Kids’ Sake International Superhero 5K returned with a bang on Saturday, September 20! The air at Turley Park in Carbondale was electric as a crowd of superheroes gathered to support kids in Bangladesh, the Gambia and Southern Illinois. Proceeds from the event help children meet their basic needs and get access to life-changing education.
This year’s event exceeded all expectations, bringing in 277 registrants, inspiring 31 business sponsor heroes, and raising over $35,000. It’s not too late to give to the event. Donations are still being accepted online www.forkidssakeintl.org/donate.
